Penn State Scranton has partnered with Leadership Lackawanna to offer a new program for high school juniors and seniors in Lackawanna County called Leadership U, which offers a general education, three-credit college course - CAS 100A: Effective Speech, every Wednesday, starting June 29 through August 10 from 1 p.m. to 3:15 p.m.  To learn more about the Leadership U program, please visit leadershiplackawanna.com/leadership-u. Members of Penn State Scranton's select musical group, the Roc[k]tet, perform at the 2019 spring concert. This year, for the first time since 2019, Penn State Scranton's musical groups will perform live after a two-year period of having to perform and record their concerts virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They will take the stage at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 23, at The Theater at North in Scranton.

Maria Veniamin accepts her award

2022 Undergraduate Research Winner - Maria Veniamin

Corporate Communication major Maria Veniamin, who in addition to presenting at this year's fair was also an opening speaker for the event, garnered first place in the Visual Arts category, for her project "Making Purple”. In her remarks, Veniamin shared her personal experience and the satisfaction she felt after completing a research project for a class report last semester that resulted in faculty at Penn State Scranton adopting her solution to student exhaustion.
