Penn State released its preliminary coronavirus testing results for the period of Oct. 23 to 29 on its COVID-19 dashboard today (Oct. 30). The University Park campus received 110 positive on-demand test results and 17 positive random test results from student testing during the period of Oct. 23 to 29.

The University Park campus received 127 positive on-demand test results and 13 positive random test results from student testing during the period of Oct. 16 to 22. As of Oct. 22 at University Park, there are 235 active student cases and 3,411 students have completed their isolation period and are no longer active cases.

Penn State Scranton chancellor Marwan Wafa has announced the appointment of three new faculty members at the campus. The new faculty members are, from left: Farid Jahantab, Ph.D., assistant professor of management; Nonna Sorokina, Ph.D., assistant professor of finance; and Doyle Tate, Ph.D., assistant professor of psychology.
Angela Bassani, a lecturer in accounting at Penn State Scranton, recently received her doctorate and was promoted to assistant teaching professor of accounting.
