Nadine Ruane is the March Employee of the Month

DUNMORE, Pa. — Nadine Ruane, campus maintenance/building operations, has been named Penn State Worthington Scranton's March Employee of the Month by Chancellor Marwan Wafa.

“Nadine Ruane impressed me with her work ethic very early in her employment at the campus," Lorrie Deffley, regional human resources director, stated in her nomination of Ruane.

"When an office needed to be prepared for a new faculty member, Nadine made sure it was perfect. There were a few stains on the carpet, and the carpet shampooer was undergoing repairs — that did not stop Nadine. She cleaned the carpet on her hands and knees until it looked brand new!" Deffley said.

"Nadine is an employee who takes great pride in her work," Deffley added. "She is a welcoming presence on the campus and a great addition to Penn State Worthington Scranton.”

The Employee of the Month recognition was created by Chancellor Wafa as a way of distinguishing campus staff who "go above and beyond the call of duty" in serving Penn State Worthington Scranton.

Congratulations Nadine!
