Comedian Dave Coulier to perform Sept. 23 at Penn State Worthington Scranton

DUNMORE, Pa. — Comedian and actor Dave Coulier will perform his stand-up comedy act at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 23, at Penn State Worthington Scranton. Admission is free for Penn State Worthington Scranton students and costs $10 for members of the general public. 

Coulier is perhaps best known for his role as “Joey” in the hit ABC television series "Full House," which aired for eight seasons (1987 to 1995, with 192 episodes produced) and can now be seen on Nick At Nite. Additionally, the show runs worldwide, syndicated in more than 100 countries.

Coulier followed this success by hosting his second primetime hit series, "America's Funniest People," which ran on ABC for four seasons. Coulier is currently co-starring in "Fuller House," a "Full House" remake airing on Netflix. He also hosted ABC's "World's Funniest Videos," "Animal Kidding" on the Animal Planet Network, and his own series, "Out of Control" on Nickelodeon.

Coulier has also served as a guest star on "How I Met Your Mother" on CBS, along with other television and commercial appearances.

Highly regarded for his voice-over talent, Coulier's additional credits include many Saturday morning cartoon favorites. He began by doing voices on "Scooby Doo" and the re-syndicated version of "The Jetsons." Coulier then went on to lend his versatile voice to Jim Henson's multiple Emmy Award-winning animated series, "The Muppet Babies," where he portrayed Animal, Bunsen Honeydew, Waldorf and Statler, and Bean Bunny. Coulier also voiced Peter Venkman for "The Real Ghostbusters" cartoon and the Cartoon Networks' "Robot Chicken and China," among other voice-over credits.

Coulier's performed his clean stand-up on "The Tonight Show," HBO's "Detroit Comedy Jam," and HBO's "Comic Relief" at Radio City Music Hall. Coulier continues to sell out shows at colleges, corporate events, casinos, nightclubs and theaters.

The performance will take place at 7:30 p.m. in the campus Multi-Purpose Building. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased by calling 570-963-2700. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The event is Coulier's only scheduled appearance in northeast Pennsylvania.
