Discipline Focus: Research in courtship, love and marriage; embitterment and locus of control and the role and faith as a protective factor in soldiers' wives; lived experience of students entering college with academic deficits.

- This is a literature review providing an overview of courtship practices from the 1700’s culminating in a discussion of the many changes that have occurred in the process of courtship over the past 300 years

- This is original research investigating the role of parental role changes following separation

This was a presentation based on the collaboration between local school districts, the United Way of Lackawanna and Wayne Counties, and Penn State Scranton. The collaboration includes providing four days of training for local school district elementary school teachers so they can better assist the students in their classrooms.
