The Penn State Alumni Association will recognize 14 graduates on Oct. 4 with the lifelong title of Alumni Fellow, the highest award given by the Alumni Association.
The application period is now open for the General Education Faculty Scholars Program, comprised of 16 faculty members representing the various campuses, colleges and general education areas at Penn State.
Penn State Hazleton, Penn State Wilkes-Barre and Penn State Worthington Scranton will host a special outreach event on Tuesday, Sept. 19 at the AAA National Championship Baseball Game taking place at PNC Field on Montage Mountain. The event, which is aimed at growing brand awareness and showcasing the impact Penn State makes on Northeast Pennsylvania, will also serve as a fundraiser for THON.
NEPA BlogCon will return to Penn State Worthington Scranton on Oct. 14. Now entering its sixth year, NEPA BlogCon is northeastern Pennsylvania's only blogging and social media conference. Tickets are free, but advanced registration is required.
Penn State Worthington Scranton student clubs will host a movie night Sept. 27 at the Circle Drive-in, located on Route 6 in Dickson City, in support of hurricane relief efforts.
Renee Bishop-Pierce, an associate professor of biology at Penn State Worthington Scranton, will be in Croatia next month to present her research, “The Impact of Subterranean Groundwater Discharge on Coastal Productivity.”
