Students are not only preparing for the upcoming holiday, they’re working, and working hard, to complete their coursework and prepare for final exams. With so much stress inherent in these situations, the campus library, along with health services, have organized a variety of events to help students cope.
Applications for the Penn State Secondary Mathematics Noyce Scholarship Program must be submitted by Jan. 18, 2017. The competitive renewable scholarships will provide $19,000 per year for eligible students’ last two years of college.

Rocking out the end of the semester, Penn State Worthington Scranton hosted a Multicultural Holiday Party on Dec. 7, marking the start of a new holiday tradition at the campus. The party recognized many holidays happening this month, including Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Christmas, and the Chinese New Year.

Ashli Daley, a nursing major at Penn State Worthington Scranton, is the recipient of the Chancellor's Student Worker Service Award. Daley, who is an active student on campus and involved in multiple activities and events, has worked in student services as the department's social media and marketing coordinator.
For the first time in its history, Penn State Worthington Scranton has a women's soccer team, with this fall marking the team's inaugural season. The campus now boasts both a women's and men's soccer team, along with a new field complex that was completed in 2015.
With the number of baccalaureate degree programs increasing at Penn State Worthington Scranton, the campus has also experienced a need for more faculty. To meet this demand, the campus recently hired four new full-time faculty members in business, corporate communication, mathematics and psychology.
