Penn State Scranton’s Table Tennis Club recently participated in the Divisional Tournament of the National Collegiate Table Tennis Association at the University of Pennsylvania, where members competed against several colleges, including: Bryn Mawr College, Carnegie Mellon University, Drexel University, Lafayette College, Lehigh University, Rowan University, Shippensburg University, University of Pennsylvania and the University of Pittsburgh.
The Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing Alumni Society Board, in collaboration with their Alumni Society and SNAP (Student Nurses Association of PA) at Penn State Behrend, invited Penn State nursing alumni and students to connect over delightful conversation, interactive games, and Berkey Creamery ice cream at Roche Hall this past summer.
A forecasted wintery weather mix has caused Penn State Scranton to close the campus beginning at noon on Wednesday, Feb. 22 until 5 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 23. Scheduled classes, activities and work are canceled. Offices, library and bookstore will be closed. Only employees who perform essential services should report.
For students needing a little extra help with their studies, Penn State Scranton’s Learning and Writing Center now provides students with academic coaching, in addition to its other offered services.
Taura L. Barr, associate professor of clinical nursing at Ohio State University’s College of Nursing, will be the speaker at the Penn State Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing's 2023 joint Jean Vallance Lecture in Nursing Innovation/WE LEAD Inspirational Leader Speaker Series on Friday, March 31, at the Wyndham Garden State College. The lecture will be offered in-person as well as via webinar.
