Thank you for your interest in Penn State Worthington Scranton (PSWS).
Our undergraduate degrees in various fields of studies, a graduate degree in nursing, and many degree paths through University Park, prepare students for today's highly competitive and dynamic business world.
We take pride in delivering courses and programs developed with input from civic leaders and business executives representing both large and small business enterprises in our service area.
As a result, we are uniquely positioned to provide educational solutions that are closely aligned with the local and regional workforce and economic development needs.
PSWS serves traditional and non-traditional students of all ages and backgrounds who, despite their diversity, have deep roots in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Some are admitted to PSWS directly from high school, take classes on a full-time basis, and are active in student clubs and organizations. Others are working adults with family responsibilities who take classes part-time while juggling a full schedule.
They choose our campus because we are close to their family, friends, homes, and workplaces. They like the personal attention, welcoming environment, the fact that PSWS offers day, evening and online classes, and that our faculty and staff know them by name. The new student housing, a private development, is located across the street from the campus providing quality living accommodations and convenience.
What makes PSWS students special?
They are motivated to succeed, able to excel academically, and have outstanding leadership potential. They are committed to lifelong learning and are open to change and innovation. They enjoy an enriching academic environment featuring current curriculum, hands-on real-world projects, study abroad opportunities, executives in the classroom, case studies, student-faculty research, and much more.
If you are considering earning your degree at PSWS, our pledge is to offer:
- A qualified faculty committed to excellence and able to translate current theory into practice.
- A curriculum that will fully develop your communication, presentation, interpersonal, and technical skills.
- An environment that will provide you with a professional, intellectually stimulating, challenging, and enjoyable experience.
